Why You Should Make Smoked Burgers

I personally don’t think that you need to smoke burgers for hours to get a good, smoky flavor. Here’s why:

Burger patties are fairly thin so the smoke doesn’t need to “penetrate” the patties.Since the meat is ground, it has plenty of bits and pieces to absorb smoke quickly.Smoking for 30 minutes instead of 1-2 hours doesn’t change the end result, you still get great smoked burgers.

This is the easiest and fastest recipe for smoking burgers!

We call Them Traeger Burgers

Since I’ve always used a Traeger Pellet Grill, I call these Traeger Burgers. But you can really make these in any pellet grill or smoker. If you are making these on an old Traeger with only the high-medium-low settings, use medium for this recipe. It will approximate the 350° recommended in the recipe. Otherwise, follow the recipe with whatever smoker you have and enjoy!
